International patients

Endocrine care in Tabriz for patients living outside Iran.

If you live abroad and are thinking of seeing Dr. Milanchian, this page lists what to prepare and which number to call to ask about an appointment.

Documents to prepare

Gather what you already have. Clear copies are useful, and anything you do not have can be left out.

  • Recent lab results with their units and reference ranges, such as thyroid tests (TSH), HbA1c, fasting glucose, calcium and vitamin D, with older results too so the doctor can see the trend
  • Imaging reports and, if you have them, the images or the CD: thyroid ultrasound, bone density scan, or any other scan
  • A list of every medicine and supplement you take, with the names written as on the packaging
  • Home glucose logs or sensor reports, if you check your blood sugar
  • Hospital discharge letters or earlier specialist notes, if you have any
  • Your allergies, and a short note of your other conditions and any past surgery

How to send copies before you travel has not been confirmed yet. Call and ask: +989302272111

How to plan a visit

  1. 1

    Gather your documents

Use the list above. A short note of when your symptoms started, what changed, and any family history of thyroid disease or diabetes also helps the doctor.

  2. 2

Call to ask about an appointment

Call the international number on this page. Appointments for this doctor are taken through the LimoMed support team, and the date is agreed with you by phone.

  3. 3

    Plan your trip

Arrange your own travel and stay for now. The clinic address and working hours are being confirmed and will be added here.

  4. 4

    At the visit

Bring your documents and your medicines. The doctor asks about your symptoms, examines you and decides which tests are needed.

  5. 5

    Afterwards

Follow-up depends on what the doctor finds and is agreed with you at the visit.

The clinic address, working hours, fees, and whether a review of your documents is possible before you travel are being confirmed.

In an emergency while you are in Iran, call 115, Iran's emergency number. It is different from the international line above.

Practical questions

Can a diagnosis be made from my documents alone?

Not usually. Documents help the doctor understand your situation, but a diagnosis and a treatment plan come after an examination.

Should I stop or change my medicines before I travel?

No. Keep taking your medicines as prescribed. Do not stop levothyroxine, insulin or steroid tablets on your own, and never stop insulin if you have type 1 diabetes. Bring the list with you.

What should I bring for my diabetes?

Your medicines and any pen or device you use, your glucose meter or sensor, and your recent logs, so the doctor can see how your sugar has been running.

What number do I call in an emergency?

115 is Iran's emergency number. It works only while you are in Iran. From abroad, use your local emergency number.

Every patient's care is different; ask your doctor about your own situation.
